How can they be replicas if they are built by the same company that built the originals to the same standards? Delayed, perhaps?

I would certainly agree that they are continuations rather than replicas. A replica would have to be built by someone other than the original manufacturer, surely?

What amused me last weekend at the "La Vie en Bleu" event at Prescott, were the Teal "Bugatti" replicas driving up the hill......brave of them to appear at the home of the Bugatti Club. Would they be as welcoming to a VW Veyron?

Auctioneers often call them 'recreations'... I suspect Goodwood is looking for cars with a race history rather than brand new cars.

I remember seeing Mr Masons yellow recreation sharknose Ferrari at Goodwood Revival on at least two occasions so I can only surmise it depends who owns the replica...
