Hi Aerotaff,
Many thanks for the offer, but I am not in Wales most of the time and the car also has some other issues being sorted anyway.
regards

Hope you get it sorted,a small bit of leaf found its way into the void of the sensor on mine and when you put your foot down it would fly about inside the gause and give a false reading.I changed one on my first Aero so will keep it as a spare.

From memory the S1 Aero has a M62 engine which has single vanos

All later models up to date had the N62 which has the double Vanos

Out of interest the GT3 racer of a few years ago had a dry sump variant of the S62 which was the old M5 V8 engine

S1 came with 4.4 single VANOS 286bhp
S2 had 4.4 with double VANOS and 330bhp
S3-Max/Coupe/SS/+8/Speedster all the newer 4.8L

Don't forget the tiny population of beloved S2's

I believe that the S3 was the same engine as the S2, i.e. 4.4 N62

It was 4.8 from the S4 onwards also based on the N62

Yup, although there's at least one S3 kicking around with the 4.8...

There are a number of remapped S1's out there which kick out 333bhp and the S2's make about 370bhp when mapped.
