Wonder who could undertake converting the n/a GDI engine in the new Plus 4 into an Ecoboost with 250bhp? Would require lower comp pistons, an ECU change and the turbo/inlet manifold added. Would certainly interest me at some point.

So when do the dealers get their road test models James? Just curious, I wouldn't buy new so might have to wait a few years for the pre-owned examples to appear...

There is a problem with limited space for an air to air intercoooler in the front of a trad. This packaging problem could be solved by using an air to water intercooler instead.

The one thing which has me salivating is the prospect of a fast four Trad. But it would have to be significantly more power than the current Plus 4, and not stupid money. If it was close to Roadster money I couldn't justify that either (to MrsW). So...............

Griffo, why not just swap a 2.0 GTDI in to the Trad, same engine but Ford have done all the work and durability. Graham, the dealer cars are on the Boat now, so should be appearing in the next few weeks. If you don't want to buy one I'd stay at home

Graham, the dealer cars are on the Boat now, so should be appearing in the next few weeks. If you don't want to buy one I'd stay at home I'm waiting to hear from the Ford Dealer in Southamton when they have a demmo car. We are VERY tempted...

It's not me you understand, but the Bank Manager is likely to refuse!!

If you talk to some certain well known spaniels I am sure they can work out a deal for an engine swap to a nice Omex 2.5 VVT Duratec that makes about 220hp and loads of torque
