It wasn't quite the 28 degrees they'd been forecasting earlier in the week but after a chilly drive over The Downs it turned into a very nice morning.
I've just returned from my second engagement of the day, the South Hants Vehicle Preservation Society's annual car show. It's a beautiful day, classics are outnumbering moderns on the roads round here at the moment.

I was there too - very busy, but some nice metal on show. Particularly liked the Fiat Dino convertible. Many E Types too....

I didn't make it to Goodwood as my poor starting problem progressed to an only starting with a bump start problem Its OK at home - we have a steep drive - but no so good if I was parked on level ground at the circuit. I think I've traced the problem to a poor positive connection to the starter.
I did get to the South Hants Vehicle Preservation Society event at QE Park in the other car where I picked up a new starter for £10 (I didn't have the heart to haggle). I fitted it this afternoon and went for a drive. Then I googled the parts to repair the connection on the old starter, which are available for £9.99, so the incremental cost of my drive through the South Downs was 1p - money well spent!

I'll be there as well with my M3W with Bell & Covill by the Jackie Stewart pavillion at the start of the pit lane:) Well eventually Chris :-) It was ten to nine when I spotted you driving in, just I was getting ready to leave. Great photos Ian and sorry to miss you. I'm sure our paths will cross sooner or later!
