He'll be fun....he's got an infectious love of cars. I do hope he gets some decent sidekicks but the new TG shouldn't necessarily be in the same format as the old....so perhaps one sidekick....or three?

No way!!!!!!!! Clarkson comes from the Tiff Needle school of driving , i.e. the more sideways a car is , the faster it must be going. Years ago I learned that slight understeer that can be corrected with power on exit is the fastest way through the corners in a Morgan, sideways is spectacular , yes , but it loses time.

Great result. I must admit that in the early days I couldn't stand Chris Evans on TV & radio but over recent years he's mellowed nad I do quite like his style now. He's a true petrolhead which is good. New format and co-presenter(s) is what's needed as it had got too predictable and scripted of recent times. Vicky would get my vote as a co-presented.
Wonder if the other three will continue like Bucks Fizz - three of the original line up still tour but arn't allowed to use the name for legal reasons.
