Ha ha just typed asked Google what Viki Butler Henderson said about Morgan's and it linked me to this post That's impressive, Google is quick! She wrote a book " Vicki Butler-Henderson's 100 Sexiest Cars". In case you think that sounds like a good thing, Morgan features on page 194 in a section at the back headed " The bad and the ... weird", along with the MGF and the twin-engined VW Golf. If you really want to read what she says you'll find a copy of the book in one of those remainder piles you get in garden centres, or I see Amazon has it for £0.01. ~iw

In my humble opinion (subtle gag there), women have never successfully presented car programmes, EXCEPT for Sabine Schmitz who would be better than all the rest put together.

Who knows Clarkson maybe there as the Stig ! No way!!!!!!!! Clarkson comes from the Tiff Needle school of driving , i.e. the more sideways a car is , the faster it must be going. Years ago I learned that slight understeer that can be corrected with power on exit is the fastest way through the corners in a Morgan, sideways is spectacular , yes , but it loses time. Except when on the loose surfaces

I am sat here listening to England stuff New Zealand only for the commentary to be spoilt by a woman's voice. Women have their own skills and value but they are not with commentating on men's cricket and car programmes. I may be a dinosaur but I don't give a fig.

Women have their own skills and value but they are not with commentating on men's cricket and car programmes. I may be a dinosaur but I don't give a fig. You are indeed a dinosaur. That sort of attitude used to prevail about all sports broadcasting, and yet there are some excellent female sports presenters on our screens these days. Claire Balding for example never fails to be interesting and informative because she is a good professional journalist who always does her homework, so she serves us up relevant or amusing facts rather than a stream of banal trivialities (such as "there's a great atmosphere in the ground today....")

She is great Giles sorry to be a pedant but she is Clare, Heather was watching Ascot this afternoon and how much better the presentation flowed without her being hampered by Willy Carson chipping in with some banal statement as he has in previous years.
