Awesome car. Dread to think of the value! Maybe tonight's Euro Lottery will be kind. The post war racing era up to the era of mid 80's is my favourite one. A lot of tragic losses though. Jackie Stewart's biography contains his comments about losing friends on a regular basis. Real gutsy and skilled heroes in those days. To own a car from those days is a dream....
They are rather scary to drive and your feet are the crash box, out in front of the axle line. The gear change could best be described as "interesting".
There's something special about the Porsche racers from the very early days up to the 917. It must be the warm glow of nostalgia, because they all look like they were built in a shed on the inside.
