2014 4/4.
How do I get the stalk out? Seems to have a plastic retainer on the bottom!
Many thanks :-)

Gentle persuasion will do it.

Gentle persuasion will do it. Haha! That's what I was concerned about, I can practically pick the car up with the mirror. Do I have to get the collar off or just force the retainer through or off?

The collar can be teased off,but to be safe I would unscrew the base from the door, then you can get a bit tougher.

If the mirrors are anything like the round items fitted to my 4 seater Plus 4, they are nearly as useless as the headrests!

I'm a big fan of Heart of England mirrors, the view is very good.
