Haven't you figured it out yet. Mr Tony, Boshly and myself are talking up the market so that we can secure the best possible prices for when we order our son of aeromax.

I think the measure of our success will be when MMC phone us up offering to do a straight exchange.

In the credit crunch the Series 2 will be cheap to run, so perhaps it's true time has come, only problem is that there are few genuine ones left due to the amount of rebuilding they have been subject to, I think there were a few hundred made, have to look up the records.

ps Aeroman could be confused with snobmogs as 51 of these were produced.

A quick look on Morganville shows series 2 chassis numbers in the range A201 to A472 so there must have been at least 300.

Does this mean that the lack of exclusivity will drop prices from £150,000 to even less, asbojohn, looks like the trade of an S2 for an Aeromax is fading away somewhat.

I'm sure Boshly will correct me on this but he probably has the first Series II car as it was the factory demo car at 327 and by 427 we were onto the Series 3 cars so this would suggest the the Morganville data is wrong.

Its may understanding that the Series II production ran for less than a year so the numbers will be far lower than 300, unless the factory was on overtime.

Now you've been caught out you can tell me who put you up to trying to dispell the Series II mythology or should I guess

Also, not all numbers are produced in sequence and some not produced at all. The only definitive check would be to confirm with the factory.

My Series 4, along with the series 4 built for Charles Morgan's sister were the first Aero's of 2009. My chassis number is 706.

We have a member here Greymog, whose chassis number is 703 for build in March 09.

For mine, the difference could be that I ordered my car in late 2007 with a delivery date of March 2009 but then in January 08 brought the delivery forward to be in the group of first 2009 cars for the handover party.

Can you settle this debate and ask the factory how many aeros in each series were produced.

Spot on Asbo, less than 100 made by 419 (Simons car) we were onto series 3 and Simons was not the first by a long chalk. But more significantly most were LHD for the states. Factory has led me to believe that about 20-30 % RHD at the most or 15 - 20 cars....



My suspicions lie with TalkMan or AeroMorgan probably with the promise of a free sticker or suchlike ....

Hasn't it occurred to you that a possible reason they made so few Series 2 cars is no-one wanted to buy them.

Looking at Boshlys logic our man is probably not far off the RHD number in the UK, which is in complete fairness what was being quoted. I've been told also that the vast majoriy of SII's went to the US.

Anyway, back on the main topic I think the Max will be a pretty solid long term investment. I guess the only concern I have is that too many people will buy these fore collections and not drive them.

Even with the aero it's a clear issue - both my cars have been purchased at the years old - the first had 1200 miles on the clock, the second 3000. Cars like this are fantastic driving cars that cry out to be used, not stored in a museum like collection driven round the block once a month by the caretaker...
