making them road legal will be an issue as you can't pretend they were made 50 years ago but racing thoroughbreds - such as the Ferrari GTO's etc will be snapped up by race driver consortiums and wealthy individuals even if they were £1.5M a car

Surely the whole point of these is that they are continuation models - IE they were allocated chassis numbers but never built. Unless Ferrari turn round and go - "Oh look, we were meant to build 1,000 250 GTOS - this book says so!!" - I can't see them doing the same trick.

(Those are called famous last words!)

I've told you a million times not to exaggerate. We only use 10% of our brains. Think what we could do if we used the other 60%.

An EVO report and driving impression on the continuation Lightweight.

Quite interesting the possibility of building "new" steel E types as well.

Interesting

Thanks for posting

Did you notice the comment at the end ' perhaps a new run of E-Types'

I think all top end marques will soon be recreating past historic cars

Yes that was what my steel comment was about really, I was idly wondering what the price point could be but gave up guessing.
I bet they could sell a lot though.
Perhaps we will be seeing more manufacturers of special older classics recreating, it amazes me the amount of spare cash around these days.
