Hi chaps, I never really liked the idea of whacking wheel nuts on wire wheels. My +4 has octagonal nuts not spinners and I'm provided with a rather short spanner affair. Does anyone know of a socket type that could simply be done and undone with a bar? Seems much more civilised to me than beating the heck out of my nuts!

How about one of these. I have no personal experience with this type - you maybe need a cravat (MG) to operate it.. http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-RX1499cerealsurfer on here's Dad is Millers as link below. http://www.millercommercialmotors.co.uk/They make the Daddy of these I have one and they are +/- 1.5Mtrs long with the "Morgan" spanner welded to one end and are comfortable to use. Trust me there isn't a wheel in the World you can't move with it. Or this one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morgan-Octagon...=item1a01bc45cf

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morgan-Octagon...=item1a01bc45cf I have used one of these tools for years. Absolutely brilliant, all Morgans with nuts should be issued with one from new! Regards David.

My fancy socket came from Ledgerwoods. I have one of these also. I use a 3 ft breaker bar to undo the nuts. And use a 2ft breaker bar to tighten the nuts.

Mulfab every time, gets lots of use on mine plus all the others (with octagonal nuts of course) I have done kingpins for so to date many, many times wheels on and off, faultless every time. Many of my friends have also bought one once they see it ;-).
