Went down to Derby this morning to fetch MissW home for the weekend. Set off at 0800 but the contractors on the M1 had had southbound down to one lane overnight, and had not restored three lanes. So what is usually about 16 miles at 50mph became 5 miles at a lot less than 50mph as the traffic was squeezed through the gap. So my journey down which should have taken just under an hour became an hour and fifteen.
Coming back I stayed on the A38 a bit longer, then towards Newark, before heading North through Ollerton. This should have been a decent run, but there ws a ceramic fair just south of Ollerton. There had been an attempt to manage traffic, but it failed dismally and we lost over 15 minutes coming back.
This year we seem fated into getting caught up in event traffic of one sort or another. Badminton Horse trials was the worst by far. No Morgans seen on the trip, but later I saw one parked in the local garden centre at Wentworth - Blue with a cream interior, and a MOG number.
103 miles in total, and a good run out for the Roadster.

Great run to Moffat to the Routes Rally and back via Dalveen Pass, always a pleasure. Took a friend who was most impressed with my 4/4 and he is 6'3"

Down to Moffat today 160 mile round trip all the way down with the roof off some points more water on the inside than out. Some very nice classics on display (around 900 cars). Good to see fellow TM Donald, now home need to spend the next few hours drying the inside and cleaning outside of the car.

Very much in the dog house, could be up for rehoming

Planned to intercept some Taffmoggers doing a run from H to S Wales.
Weather was horrible so stayed at home.
Weather improved as day went on so a bad decision!
Pendine next weekend for the Hotrod event...

The Taffmog furthest point north to the furthest point south was compleated yesterday in my case over 800 miles includeing 100 mile run back home after compleating.Five plus 8s one Four Four one Plus four two Aeros a Roadster and a Db9 did the run and all ran faultlessly. We were asked at a cofee stop why the Aston wasent leading the convoy,we explained it was only a support vehicle to the Morgans it was quite clear to me he knew nothing about cars.It was a really great run which obviously can be done the other way round I will keep all the details and stops if anybody needs them in the future.Time to wash the car and touch up the b....y stone chips.
