Hi, I have a big roll of rubber foot mat that I had to buy as could not buy a small amount. Used this to replace the torn drivers footrest rubber. I unpicked the stitching of the old one and the used it as a template for the new then swmbo took it to work where she has use of an industrial sewing machine, job done. If you need some rubber matting pm me and I'll cut one off and pop in the post to you. cheers

Renapur been using it for years it has very little smell ( I spotted a few sniffers ) . Started to use it on my walking boots and the odd pair of shoes protects from the rain . Worth looking up on website .

Thanks Adrian. That's a great tip - I've just looked on their site & they do my exact colour, so I've ordered some. Uncanny timing, as today I decided to swing by the excellent trimmer who redid the hood on my TVR about 4 years ago to see about getting my floor mats redone and to get him to sort out some light scuffing on the driver's seat. Sad to say he seems to have closed down.

Well, I've finally got around to applying the liquid leather, and I'm very pleased with the results. The colour match with the saddle brown is really good, so thanks for the tip Adrian.

I had my vinyl seats redone by a great little one man upholstery shop nearby. Yes, I know, vinyl and not leather, but I wanted to remain as original as possible. He told me that he would give me a little secret. He recommended for all my vinyl material including the roof and touneau cover etc... Lexol, a leather treatment spray. I can get it at my local farm supplier.

It works well on vinyl, and I expect it works well on leather.

So I just had to go for the Magnolia leather didn't I?

Within not very long at all Mrs Scratched had managed to stain/dye the leather with a brown wax type jacket (or at least I think this is what caused it). Now there is a brown ingrained covering all over the upright of the seat.

I have tried using:

Water
Soap and water
Carplan leather cleaner
Autoglym leather cleaner
Zymol leather cleaner

I have rubbed lightly, roughly and all pressures in between, all to no avail. The rest of the leather has come up fine for normal dirt etc using all the above methods but the dye....nothing.

Does anyone have any further tips/solutions?

Thanks.

Stuart
