Your first item - "1. Suspension wishbone upgrade - Had this done - about £75" - I am not aware of this one , do you have any details ? thanks Graham, our friend in South Africa had them too for his very earlly 2012 as there was a problem at the time of them snapping or something.

Guys, this all great stuff. I just checked the "M3W manual" website, I guess is still under construction. I think that all the upgrade ideas should go there for the Newbies that are considering the 2112. You might be able to get a lot of them done for the cheaper price of the 2012? I've done most of the upgrades on my 2012 and its become a really sweet ride.

Thanks Rog , one that passed me by ! An important one really. I think the one that highlighted it snapped in a race. My mate Chris was bothered as he always drives like a loon. Over the Franschhoek Pass which has lots of hairpins and thousands of feet drop. I think yours may be the updated ones as its a 2013modeld & Chris's is one of the first ones off the line in 2012.

I suspect there are quite a few early ones around without the wishbone upgrade , it's difficult to see any difference .
Mine bent as I was going round a roundabout causing the car to spin , luckily no one was close by .....
It was suggested that I should should pay for the "upgrade" !

There's the longer fuel level sender too. Makes the fuel gauge at least a little bit useful.

Get the Steel rear sprocket - no need to tolerate the aluminium type that wears out. Having now done a couple of hundred road miles since fitting the steel pulley I'm sure there is less 'bevel box' noise than there used to be
Check your mudguards for rust. I believe the newer ones are galvanised

Makes me use the trip meter for something that should be used for other more important things, such as, how far have we driven on this trip!
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Another possibly worthwhile upgrade is the later rear wheel hub that moves the wheel over a bit and should give better alignment between the front and rear sprockets; i.e. no overhanging belt. Have just fitted one along with a steel rear sprocket but haven't had a chance to test it out yet due to the weather in Aberdeen today. Fitting a bilge pump might sort out that problem.
