Yes Peter I did get my well laden M3W to ground on your drive. You are too scared to say Giulia is a big old unit!

I hope to get the 4/4 right but can I afford to?

On Motorways, dual carriageways, and similar major roads of course, there's no measurable improvement. A stock car performs perfectly well on these surfaces and the Suplex system brings no benefit.

I sort of agree with that. Many Italian roads have similar characteristics to the English B roads.

I am sure that the latest production has improved springs. At least I would hope so after all the complaints in the 2011/2012 period for both front and rear springs.

My experience was a car with seriously low ride height when it left the factory. All springs were changed under warranty. I felt the car had too much body roll with the new springs and I felt that a sports car should at least be able to out corner a family sedan.

When I fitted the Suplex I noted the following:
less body roll,
lighter steering,
the car felt better planted on the road and could encounter mid corner bumps without skipping sideways,
and, the ride was much more comfortable.

Perhaps there are other solutions that would cost less and give all this but I suspect there would be compromises. My compromise was to accept a little initial softness in the front suspension in favour of comfort.

Can I outcorner the family sedan with fully independent suspension? Well at least they don't leave me behind! Certainly the car now handles as well as I am prepared to push it.

By all reports the new rear suspension kit will give a more supple and controlled ride whilst reducing body roll even more.

It all sounds good to me but I am not saying it is the universal solution either in terms of handling or budget.

Same here. OH noticed right away the better ride and also feeling safer when cornering with the Suplex.
However I would not know what to advise as the variance in spring quality and spring rating seems to be a Morgan problem.
My friends 1993 +8 had the rear springs changed under warranty. He also had softer fronts with higher damping.
I had no problems with the various 1959 to 1976 4/4's that I owned.

Other opinions are also available wink

Oh I agree.....if I'd still got my 4/4 I would have been singing the praises of Suplex. For some reason on my Roadster it made little difference apart from lightening my wallet!
