I filled the car up this afternoon petrol station about a mile away, 30 mins later back home. Its grocklefest at the seaside first sunny day of the school holidays what was i thinking.
Had to buy paint rollers. The wife's on a DIY kick and is painting and wood preserving like mad. Good thing she has the energy. It was all I could do to drive the Plus 8 out of the garage, down to the hardware store and park. Then I had to come all the way home. Barely got the thing warm.
Next weekend I get to teach two nieces how to drive a standard transmission in the thing. Should be interesting.
Cheers.

Just back from a 500k trip to the Limousin, three quarters of which was motorway this time as a change from cross country. It was very pleasant: I disciplined myself to 100/110 kph and the inside lane except for when overtaking lorries and that allowed me lots of scope to watch all those bunched up in the outside lane at 130 plus surely being on the verge of heart attacks. Someone commented on not enjoying motorways but it can be different here.
Trip planned to Pendine today. Babs, Bluebird are doing runs on the beach at 4.00 pm. Possibly Napier Raylton too. Phonecalls with some Taffmoggers to meet up. Mini day out. Will take a camera and try getting some photos/videos.

Bit of a fun day today. Youngest son, who is 26, home from London for a few days which is a rare treat so went with Motacylist who is contemplating changing his 4/4 for some test drives at Oakmere and took some nice Cheshire lanes to get there & back. This evening down some more nice twisty lanes for a dinner at the Boot at Kelsall and the long way home down the lanes passed Beeston Castle & back through Tarporley.nice to spend quality time with him & he's just getting so besotted with the Mog. Special times.
