Bit of a fun day today. Youngest son, who is 26, home from London for a few days which is a rare treat so went with Motacylist who is contemplating changing his 4/4 for some test drives at Oakmere and took some nice Cheshire lanes to get there & back. This evening down some more nice twisty lanes for a dinner at the Boot at Kelsall and the long way home down the lanes passed Beeston Castle & back through Tarporley.nice to spend quality time with him & he's just getting so besotted with the Mog. Special times. Good for you. Forgot to add he changed from a lad to a man last night. Voluntered to order real beer on hand pump for himself instead of lager - and then had another! Really likes it!

On our way back up to north of Italy, my wife Diana and I visited Peter and Alis in the mountains, Lago di Como area. What a very friendly and heartfelt meeting! Both were so nice, and, among others we had of course talked the Mogs. Next pictures still made in CH but "German weather" already welcomes us, A very nice tour has been finished.

Looks like a great meeting; if not ominous clouds.

It certainly was a very pleasant day. And thanks to Heinz for letting me try his 4/4 by myself as he waited for me to return near the top of Passo Agueglio. Very trusting of him What a lovely car! Lovely revvy engine (it almost seems like a motorcycle engine) and very well balanced and "chuckable". It only lacks a little torque at low revs. Coming out of the hairpins 1st would be too low and second seemed too high. I can see why some people change to a lower ratio diff but I can also see why Heinz has fallen in love with it. A couple of things took a moment to get used to. The gear lever is bent back as against my straight lever, and the fly-by-wire throttle felt a little different. A very interesting shade of grey, in some lights it is almost green.

Not yet but up at 5 am for a trip to Aberystwth, Little Red Rosie was fettled yesterday ready for the outing. After lunch and seeing a relative down to a B&B near Sennybridge then on Sunday off to wedding near Cardiff. Overnight stop and then Monday morning back to Harry dog, Hope will take some nice pics en route as we go over the Welsh hills. Expect to do around 500 miles.
