A friend of mine had a DB5 many years ago and having driven it once I found it a bit underwhelming. It doesn't look like I'll be driving any others.

Not sure
I know the road really well - I have a client that I visit every week just around the corner

All I know there was a lamp post, traffic lights and a Vauxhall involved

There was a 4 year old boy in the Aston as a passenger but reports are that although both the driver and the boy went to hospital, they are both fine thankfully

It does look a nasty hit especially in an old car without all the safety features

Reminded me when I was 8 or 9 (about 1967) and my parents rented an Anglia as their car had broken down and was garaged for repair. They needed to go to a family do. On the way home the Ford failed near Winchester so my dad called the owner and he kindly came to pick us up and take us home. He turned up in a georgeous bronze DB5, I and my Mum squeezed in the back, and I was in heaven, I just asked questions about the car all the way home. I remember when we hit a short dual carriageway near our village I asked how fast it went, and the owner obliged much to my and my Dads delight but not to my Mums swmbo

I think this, and sitting in a real GT40 that belonged to Paul Getti a year later in a local garage when my dad purchase a PB Cresta to replace the knackered Rover 80 sealed my fate to lust after motoring machinery for the rest of my life.

It might be a pig to drive but you have to say it's still gorgeous to look at. It sits in my virtual garage along side an S1 E-Type, AC Cobra & an S2 2 door Bentley Continetal. That's just the first garage....

Not a pig, but a very, very period feel, and mediocre brakes.
Quick enough though!

So some similarities with a Morgan.

I agree It is a gorgeous looking car regardless at how it drives but for me not as nice as Bensports La Sarthe

My father was a car salesman back in the late 50's early 60's.. They had a DB 3 or 4 , can't recall now that just wouldn't sell and had been in the showroom for months. The boss asks my father to take the Aston around the dealers and swap it for something they could sell. He came back with a Ford Zephyr! How times have changed.. rofl
