Wonder where they get the original 1950's Bentley chassis from???

Would have though sacrificing an original Bentley would not make financial sense these days.

Intuitively, I thought you might be wrong. But, I took a look on carandclassic.co.uk expecting to find several sad examples for less than £5k but most are £25k plus - and not all of those will be free of major expense in the future.

If you found a car with a sad body, it would be a good option to consider - depending on cost.

Bit like these. They take the chassis of old Bentleys and build these http://www.vintageracinggreen.com/racing_green/

Quite a few R Types and Mark VIs had their bodywork fall apart with rust, so I suspect there are still a few chassis out there.

Had to laugh at the description of the Bentley Blue Train - they would have a job on these days - and would probably have a few extra passengers!

"Relishing the opportunity to demonstrate the power, speed and reliability of his beloved Bentley cars, Barnato promptly wagered £200 that he could not only arrive in Calais before the train, but he would be at his London club before the train pulled into the French port."
