I stand corrected Peter, Morgan must have it all wrong the marketing division sales and Md its a new Aero before the new new Aero.

I think it is all down to the Type Approval: the new Plus 8 is, as far as the Compliance stuff is concerned, just another body version of the Aero 8, as will be the new Aero 8 S5 and in due course the Aero based Roadster....
Bottom line, technically if it has an aluminium tub chassis it is an Aero 8, irrespective of what it looks like, the way it is marketed or sold to customers.

I've not considered either of my Plus 8's as Aero's and was quite disappointed to be banished to the Aero forum. I still read Classic Morgans first  I'm looking for a Max at which point I'll consider myself an Aero owner but until then I can't see how something that looks trad is somehow considered to be something else. My V5 says Plus 8 btw

We should have a poll...should I put it in the Trad Forum or the Aero Foruum?
Perhaps we need a new forum just for us hybrid "New Plus 8" owners.
As my car was first registered by MMC I assumed that they knew what they were doing (dangerous assumption, I know) and the description is correct.
Morgans first registered by dealers should use the official Morgan description from the Certificate of Conformity of the sales invoice. I wonder how many check...!
