How's that for dedication to a colour?

I admire that level of perfectionism, being a bit of a difficult to please old git myself... oldgit
+ That's a lovely colour.

I agree with him. Chocolate on a hob nob is just gilding the lily IMHO. It is a magnificent biscuit in the unadorned state. Decent dunking characteristics too.

Over here (Switzerland) you can get biscuits called "Haferli" - which have emblazened on the wrapper "The Swiss Digestive". But its not, its the Swiss Hob-nob. Much smaller version but definitely closer to a hob-nob than a digestive.

I'm not saying we miss English biscuits - but we did take 14 packets back with us last time!!! (No Hob-nobs though - Bourbons, Custard Creams**, Ginger Nuts and many boxes of Shortbread)

** As an aside we had lunch at Marcus when we were in London and the takeaway at the end were some Custard Creams. They were good but not up to the standard I was expecting - too much nutmeg in the custard and the biscuit itself was too buttery.

Ah! Ginger Nuts, one of my favourite all time biscuits. swmbo in-law brought me back a packet of something very similar, but not so hard, from Trieste recently - really nice.

Trieste has a great tradition in coffee and cakes, pastry, biscuits, plus a lot of the other good things in life such as smoked ham (which is called prosciutto di Praga, at its best is carved off the bone and served slightly warm with horseradish eat ). It is a great city for dinning out, aperatifs, and cafés.

To digress - while over in September I need to stock up on coffee - I am partial to Passalaqua. Do you know anywhere local-ish that sells the stuff.

My parents will join us this time so I will be in the Alpina meaning plenty of space for coffee, some of the better Italian beers that are now coming to market and both Chino and Ginger zero (unavailable in Switzerland frown )

What was the question again ?

Oh yes - So just to settle this then if I go in to a morgan dealer would I ask to purchase an Aero, Aero 8 or a Plus 8 homologated from an Aero Chassis with a trad body ?or a Plus 8

Only I was thinking of one of these in the future but now can buy one if we cant articulate what its called

somestick And if its a plus 8 what do I call our trad plus 8

And have I now posted this in the right place - its all too much really
