We have had confirmation that we have secured one of the last +8 build slots for this year. Need to go to the factory on Monday to test drive an auto and confirm the rest of the spec. Up to now we have only driven a manual +8 and reading all the posts it seems the majority of you lucky owners prefer the auto with paddle shift so should be an interesting decision. Has anyone got a view regarding the difference between the 18" and 19"wheels in terms of transmitting feel/road surface? This of course means I'll have to part with my current +8 which is a great pity but I'm not prepared to let the 3 wheeler go. Worthers +8

Yay! Welcome to the new +8... I love mine and definitely did the right thing with paddle shifts. Most sports cars feature paddles these days and the option of full auto means very relaxed driving when you want it.
It's a fabulous car.

My original car had 18" wheels and I was concerned enough that the 19" would be rough-riding that I ordered a set of 18" at the same time.
In fact, the 19" ride extremely well and it would be hard to tell the difference. Get the design that you like best as the road noise/harshness concern is not a worry.
Manual or auto?
Watch a couple of YouTube videos of Supersports/Aeromaxes. The slurred gearchanges weren't for me and not many sports cars run a torque converter auto any more. Try a PDK setup and see where relaxed auto driving is at.
Neilda: Have fun at Goodwood but it's too long a motorway schlep for me, we'll meet up somewhere more central soon I'm sure.

Congratulations; great news. Should provide an interesting contrast to your Family 3 wheeler!

I'm told the 3 wheeler will be good for 120mph assuming I've got the bottle to go that fast once the new engine is in! I'll post a couple of pics of it in it's current state!
The decision on colour and auto/manual ect will be taken hopefully with SWMBO on Monday's factory visit. So will let you know Tuesday.
The decision to buy is not totally the happiest as it has only come about due to Janet's brother being diagnosed with terminal C and only having a couple of months left. It made us both realise that there's no point in saving for a rainy day you as you just never know what's round the corner.

One of the benefits of a Morgan is that you can be brave about colour - although mine (not from new) is dark grey metallic with mulberry and grey quilted alcantara. Take your time to go through the colours - and also the leather/alcantara colours to get a combination that works. Enjoy the process.
