Hello; another infrequent post from Canada. I am having a tough time reinstalling the turn signal bezel and lens. I have not replaced the rubber (neoprene?) base assembly, so I may be dealing with old brittle rubber, but I cannot refit the lens. I am very fearful of scratching the new paint work. Does anyone have a trick?
I promise a few images as soon as I get this car on the road.

A squirt of washing up liquid may help on the rubber.

You beat me to it Ray, top advice. Also if you look on eBay for 'Plastic Trim Removal Tool' in cars and accessories you wil find for a few dollars some very useful plastic tools for removing and refitting all kinds of vehicle trim and fittings, the beauty is they leave no marks and if you slip off, and we all do, they do not mark the paint....I cringe when I see the screwdrivers used to remove and refit trim items!

Thanks for the advice. I was looking for a magical solution, but, as always, time and patience prevail. Crappy Tire - thought I was the only one who thought that way! Their tools may be the answer for this. Thanks, Rick
