If everyone wants to go to the Kennels I can easily arrange.
If I join in I'll be in the dog house, so the Kennels would be perfect

If you look back in this thread you will see a picture of a typical meeting place. Access is via some very narrow Devon lanes, thus excluding these more modern types: but I'm sure that a proper +8 could squeeze through!

Hello all This thread got me curious so I just looked up the widths of the earliest and latest "Plus 8s". There is quite a difference between the two at 291mm, for you older Plus 8 owners that's nearly a foot! Of course keeping things in perspective even the latest Plus 8s are still approx 5mm (nearly 2 inches in your older Plus 8s money) narrower than a Mk7 Golf, so I don't think us newer types will quite be excluded from narrow lanes yet!

Hello all Of course keeping things in perspective even the latest Plus 8s are still approx 5mm (nearly 2 inches in your older Plus 8s money) narrower than a Mk7 Golf, Err..5mm or 50mm? 50mm is 2", 5mm is about 3/8".... The new Plus 8 looks a lot wider as the front track is the same as the rear. The Roadster we had, and I guess the other trads, are a narrower at the front track than the rear.
