It would so much better/ more balanced with two aero screens..I guess you could spec that.

The colour is fantastic. The Lotus Elise I test drove at Oakmere was the same combination - orange with black trim.
The one at BHM is metallic, so not Sport Orange and a bit darker.
My problem is I like Yellow & Orange in equal measure.
PS - the Speedster should have rubber mats. Just my opinion.

PS - the Speedster should have rubber mats. Just my opinion.
If you get water under rubber mats, it takes a long time to dry up. The speedster should have two aero screens, no exterior door handles and a tonneau cover. Harald

Easy out rubber mats then. Not carpet...........
If that had been a Plus 4 with an easy up and stainless wheels I could have been very tempted.

I agree with the rubber mats and like them in my4/4 Sport. I thought they weren't going to put door handles on as why do you need them when you haven't got a roof. Like the colour a lot and never thought I would consider such a DaveW colour before!  as the original exercise was to produce a car below £30k even a small number of essentials adds a couple of grand so guess that's why there is only one aero screen. Must take a look at it as its close by.o

So it's £2k above the price of the 4/4 'speedster' featured in this months MOG mag
The only differences I can see are:
Leather instead of Ambla
Black wires instead of silver
Black stone guard instead of silver
I'm guessing the extra over for the leather is going to be most of that cost
My feeling is that keeping this stripped down 4/4 under £30K is the most crucial part of the concept and the attraction even though I do like the colour way on this car
I think it would have been better being in black, Ivory or white so the lower cost silver wires and guard look good and keeping it under the £30K. Also sticking with the Ambla as its going to be more wet weather proof
Once you go over the £30K potential buyers are going to go for a standard 4/4 with the hood etc and of course other nearly new cars start looking attractive
