Leaf springs are not needed with the 5 link setup although I understand that should anyone wish they can remain in addition to the revised suspension, not sure why anyone would want to do that but it is apparently possible. I was also told that it will not be a requirement for the suplex front suspension to be fitted to take advantage of the rear suspension upgrade.
The new arrangement sounds fantastic and in addition to the benefits already mentioned will allow for height adjustment which is of particular interest to me, and probably a number of other Plus 4 owners

I can assure you there is nothing heath robinson about the Suplex 5 link suspension fitted to my car.
This post has rather beaten me to it somewhat,I have driven about 200 miles with the new rear suspension but wanted to complete my testing before I can give a final assement and answer any questions that may come my way.
Yes a well known racing driver came along and we had a lovely time trying to make the car do silly things without success.
I now have a Morgan on which the chassis doesn't flex and you can use all the power the uprated ecu will give.
Sorry to be brief but I will attempt to answer posts in the near future.

Sorry to say, at the moment it looks a bit Heath Robinson. Hope I am proved wrong. In that respect you must remember it is a kit to be retrofitted to replace leaf springs. If you compare it to kits made for other live axle vehicles to replace leaf springs it is, if anything, a neater and well executed design. It would probably be less noticeable if it was all painted black. If you want something that looks as though it was part of the original design you would have to either buy a different diff (housing) or start welding parts on the existing diff and, for that matter, the chassis. As long as the structure strong enough and securely fastened there would be no difference if it was welded or bolted.

It's not a case of stolen thunder I am a retired research development engineer with Rolls Royce and my whole working life has been centered about not making wild claims till all testing has been completed.sorry its taking a little time but I must give TM an accurate assesment of this superb upgrade.

This is a superb piece of kit, I had to remain quiet as you can imagine.
Yes Williams are going to be a fitter for this system.
