If Triking changed their body style to be more 'Morgan-like' they would clean up!

@Bunny, I completely agree that its the lines which distract many people of both Triking and Aero Merlin which both had some nice lines, but other areas which could use restyling.

Personally the rear of the triking bothers me much more than the pointy nose. The Aero Merlin has a wonderful back end, but a gapping wide nose.

"Turning the steering wheel of the Morgan reminded me of the non-power steering in my mother’s ’62 Falcon sedan. It was surprisingly heavy for such a small vehicle with motorcycle tires in front and the turning radius was terrible."

A great write up and a good comparison. Like many on here, I was also interested, among others, in the Triking, but the styling put me off too.

Your comments on the heaviness of the Morgan steering was interesting and mirrored my own feeling when I first drove one, additionally, it got even heavier as one turned more into a corner. This in addition to the, now well documented bump steer, some of which was not present in the pre-production Suplex damper equipped cars.

As will be confirmed by those who have fitted the full Empire Geometry Correction Kit, not just the risers, but the full top wishbone and bracket assembly, the steering will change completely to finger light throughout its' whole range of movement as well as in bump and rebound, accurate and with no bump steer because it changes the whole geometry of the system and works as it should do if it had been designed properly in the first place, even now, with the different position of the steering arm and track rod end, which help, but the geometry is still wrong.

My mechanic was so impressed with the Empire kit when driving mine that he now recommends it to other M3W owners.

(Hopefully I will get my new rectifier working today, in good time for tomorrows sports car meet).

Triking and Aero teamed up years ago to make this. I am not sure why it never made it anywhere, because in my eyes its the best "replica" to date.

Not at all, just use the right foot and rear wheel steering

Love the Guzzi engine. It looks so right in that car.
