Ctek into 12v socket under dash. I don't even know where the battery is ;-)

As I said earlier, with the battery under the back seat it might as well be hidden. After three years of connecting via the socket I think I'll continue.

Been in touch with a very helpful woman at CTEK today and she has reassured me about the sequence of charging/conditioning and the connect-and-forget capability of my new MX 3.8. She even went as far as implying agreement with me that it does not have the appealing simplicity of the XS3600. Another example of a gadget which is over-featured.

I fitted an extra power socket under the passenger side dash that goes direct to the battery via a fused link. Apart from charging, the extra socket is really useful for sat nav or phone. Also have a little LED torch that sits in it when not in use.

On the Trad it's a quick and simple job to add the Ctek leads to the battery and have them in an accessible place to plug in. Just remember to unplug them before you drive out of the garage scared

If it's connected at the rear the connector unplugs itself as you drive off wink
