Let's hope that the underseal reverts to the honey coloured version used previously. Because the black will conceal everything.

Galvanising is done hot and distorts the chassis
This coating is done cold so the chassis remains more accurate so makes a better race car .That's the official line from the AR top bod Hmmm... The ultimate steel chassis protection seems to have worked well for well over a decade!

I never thought of a Morgan steel chassis as a example of precision engineering; more blacksmiths technology and tolerances: +/- a quarter of an inch!
A special coating applied cold, flexible chassis, bolted front cross-frame and leaf springs does't suggest to me that it'll make one iota of difference.
Sorry Morgan but to me it's a case of presentation over substance.
However, if red turns people on then why not - go for it!

Time will tell on corrosion resistance but clearly on some car colours the red won't work well

I like it, but as you say John, colours will have to be chosen with care, and ARP4 owners may be advised to avoid salty winter roads, until someone else has had a couple of winters with one and can confirm if the coating stays on and works.

I was told at Silverstone that bright red was chosen as the signature colour of Aero Racing. It's another example of the excessive racing influence. At least now we've got the 50 out of the way we might see something a bit more relevant to buyers who don't want bling.

The speed at which the ARP4 sold compared to some other Ltd editions would indicate that people like something a little different even if some call it bling.

I always thought that chrome and polished walnut were 'bling' !
