Chaps, I always thought of Morgan Classic drivers as being made of quite tough stuff, however I have just returned from the North Norfolk Steam Railway Gala and, in addition to all the wonderful steam locos, there were around 50 Model "T" Ford cars rolling into town on a day when most of the North Sea was on the beach, the clouds were so low it was like fog and the temperature was at 11C.
It was a great spectacle, they are on a 3 day tour of Nelson's County. I hope it's warmer tomorrow.

Two January's ago I came back from Cambridge sans roof and side screens in the Sport and most of the way the air temperature was measuring -4C, good bracing stuff so 11C is quite warm you see. As warm as toast in the cockpit.

This was at the end of the 1,200 mile topless round trip just about to get the gentle Karcher treatment.

Those model "T"s must have been a lovely sight.

p.s. A Morgan is not just for Summer thumbs

Had the handbrake given up during the trip?

I'm with Jays - it suits the car!

Just a quick follow up, all the Model "T"s have now arrived on mass into Wroxham where they are all parked up whilst their owners go for a boat trip on the Broads so they did get some decent weather.

No but previously one had failed just outside of warranty and it cost me about £300 to get replaced as at the time I was a bit of a FB and couldn't get under with the axle stands I had at the time.
Hence the sparing use of the new one - there was a faulty batch and I suspect that was what was fitted at my nearest dealers so wasn't taking any risks.

I bought her 2009 out of the showroom unregistered from Henry on the old site - not a spaniel in sight a quick test drive was all that was required and young Henry knew it. I was a previous 1994 Plus 8 owner but needed instant cash for my sons Professional Yacht Masters course on the Isle of Widget so Dad had to sacrifice for a year.

24,000miles of pure pleasure provided, lots of small things came unglued and fell off but nothing that stopped her going well which is all that is of concern to me infact the more bits that fell off the quicker she went as it was attrition like, that coupled with the engine freeing up a bit over time it became somewhat of a linear function.

I won't mention the 3 cracked "under stress" windscreens as Brian very kindly acted as the conduit and sorted this out for me.
