Lawrie......are you going to offer a "Box Set" of videos?! Even a " best bits" selection? Any shots of Henry on the podium? A winter project perhaps...

I didnt think I'd ever get asked that question about a box set!!! We dont have a podium i'm afraid. The trophies are handed out with the Morgan people all in a close huddle

Oulton Park - We had a very good day testing on the Friday and managed to carry on with trying different wet sets etc. Race day - Qualifying went very well, we were actually fastest for the first 4 laps, 2.5secs quicker then anyone else due to having a wet circuit, but as it dried the big boys went slightly quicker then us, but Henry managed to qualify 5th Race - The race went very well for us, but as you will see in the video Henry was getting held up by a Class B V8, being driven by an ARDS instructor!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwSOe9NgeL8We all done our best to lighten the spirit from the news of the great Richard Gilbert passing away on Wedsnesday night. I managed to get a sticker done in time before I departed for Oulton Park The factories ARV6 Some general pics of the cars in the holding area before going out for their race The final results Very happy with the race results, considering the changeable weather conditions in both qualifying and race.

I could feel (and see) Henry's frustration. The trouble is that even if he had managed to pass the Plus 8 on a curve he probably would have been re-passed on the straight.
And the actual class results are: Class positions: Class B. 1st Elliot Paterson plus fastest lap. 2nd Russell Paterson. 3rd Tony Hirst. Class C. 1st Tim Ayres plus fastest lap. 2nd Clive Glass. 3rd Kathy Sherry. Class D. 1st Henry Williams plus fastest lap and new lap record. 2nd Paul Bryan. 3rd Tom Dailey. Class R. 1st Tom Andrew plus fastest lap and new lap record. 2nd Simon Orebi Gann. 3rd Tim Parsons.
Class win and new lap record: well done Henry and Team Williams.

Thanks for sharing the video Lawrie... Reminds me of a similar dice I had at Donington in 1984 when I was racing a 1500cc Longman engineg Frogeye in Thouroughbred Sportscars. Run by AMOC in those days. I spun on lap one letting another car through who then proceeded to take all the right lines and there was no way for me past again. I was much better on the bendy bits but he had the legs on the straights. Red mist descended in my cockpit and all I could do was focus on his back end..which of course meant I never got past.. BTW the other car was a Morgan driven by Patrick Keen...reg no TOK258

Class win and new lap record: well done Henry and Team Williams. Henry had the speed to pull away including on the straights as data logging showed our corner speeds were way down when following the V8 from testing and part of qualifying. Our lap times would of been around 2 seconds quicker. Nevermind this is racing. The car is partially stripped as prepping for Donington now.
