I had one fitted to my 4/4 when I bought the car. They look great and as you say are thicker than other wooden wheels. I like the grip and feel over the the thinner styles.yes a bit pricey but I believe worth it for a car that will last a long time.
BTW which size is the bolt pattern of the standard ugly Morgan steering wheel? Is it by chance 70mm? I would appreciate any info.
When you say 70mm.....do you mean the measurement from the mounting holes to the centre of the wheel? If so, the measurement is 50mm. There are six mounting holes.
PS. The photo is of the centre of the Brooklands steering wheel which uses the same Mountney hub of the factory wheel.....in case you wondered about the photo. I'm looking at modifying a Motolita boss to take the wheel....which would be a big improvement!
