new engine for our '70 CS
my new engine is just finised... they are switching them now in our historic rally car. '86 M30 engine ( from the latest 635/735 cars ) was new !!! used as display in a technical school and years at home of a teacher who had "plans" but never got to it.... Now rebuild with webers, headers, worked head , rally camshaft, and tuneable ignition module. curious to test drive !!

I remember the 635 CSi coupes in the early 70s, weren't they known as "Batmobiles" ?
My brother did technical service on Froude dynamometers used by Luigi , who was one of the foremost non-factory tuners of BMW.
I recall seeing them at Spa racing going through Eau Rouge with a touch of opposite lock, they were pretty brave.
Nice looking engine.

Andy , the Batmobiles are the CSL's ( light version of the CS ) with a big spoiler on the trunk hood.

I owned a 1986 635 CSI for for 7 years till I sold it in 1994 - loved it, great motor. I remember the 635 CSi coupes in the early 70s, weren't they known as "Batmobiles" ?

The batmobiles were the E9 model https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_E9 This morphed into the E24 model or 630/635 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_6_Series_(E24) My old boss had a new M635CSi many years ago. The IL-6 engine made a great impression on me. It never felt fast because it sounded so smooth but it did get a move on.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
