The thing is though, Jeremy Corbyn's political career has involved wishing the world a better place from the back benches, which does involve (of course) asking awkward questions of the powers that be, rather in the tradition of Dennis Skinner or Tam Dalyell, but not actually having to come up with workable solutions himself. An example being one of the things he has been pressing for over recent years; a nuclear free middle east. A laudable idea, but not one that has legs. It would involve Israel abandoning it's nuclear arms in exchange for.... the square root of F all. It's just not going to happen, regardless of how many times it's mentioned in the house. The role he now has as leader of HM's opposition is totally different. He now needs to provide opposition to the tory government while having viable & workable policies of his own in place as an alternative.
If I may quote William Hague on the subject....
"Few things can distract such a permanent campaigner as Jeremy Corbyn, but one of them has just happened – his remarkable elevation to Leader of Her Majesty’s Opposition. In one remarkable instant on Saturday morning, this campaigner on disparate single issues was transformed into the country’s constitutional provider of alternative government, a job that requires an immediate and remorseless focus on what is realistic and practical rather than praiseworthy but fanciful. From that moment, subjects and sentiments that bring respect to a campaigner attract ridicule and dismay, because they are voiced by a potential prime minister".

It will be most interesting to watch this latest chapter of socialism unfold - I have a small wager on the duration of his leadership position running with my No2 SIL one for 6 months the other for 12 months. Neither of us are of his persuasion.
Let the story begin and history will show us the way, after all the "experts" during the last election I listen to absolutely no ones view of this situation.
Having lived through and survived the previous two Labour tenures in Office and watched them bankrupt the country in their own individual manner I have no reason to think that he is not capable of doing exactly the same but possibly with a little more haste.
