I bought my 2012 sight unseen without any test drive. No regrets. We are on this wheel but once and I have yet to see an armored car in a funeral procession.

Can only agree. I wanted a three wheeler since I saw a "real one" as a kid and couldn´t wait to arrange a test ride. Those twenty minutes made it impossible not to buy. I even got the license plate I made up as a kid.

I have had my fair share of problems, but I have yet to regret buying it.

Your money is not just buying a car...its buying you countless hours of fun and adventures. Yes it seems like a huge amount but having saved up and bought one i think its worth every penny - you'll not regret it. It will frustrate at times and its not practical but life is too short not to. Its only money and I'd much rather have a three wheeler Morgan than a fat bank balance.

I have and currently adore my '89 Alfa Spider, I'm the original owner. I was planning on getting the new 4C...you blokes are lucky to have a continuous presence with Alfa on your side of the pond, we've been deprived since '91...and when they finally came back to the Colonies I was ecstatic...until I found out about the M3W. I mean, the 4C is wickedly fast, stupendously gorgeous, and carbon fiber.

But the 3 seems so...pure.

No, I haven't driven one, the nearest dealer is 2+ hrs away, a day trip. But, soon. I contacted them, and they have a demo, can take an order, and deliver just after the first of the year.

I've already narrowed down the colors to two. This is scary...

I've had two Alfa Spiders. A 1972 (red) and an 1981 (black). The 72 was a much better car. I now have no Alfas, but I have 5 Morgans.

I am perching right on the brink, but I´m not going to jump into that specific pond....

I've been in a friend's 4C, and the two cars are really rather different!

I hope this doesn't sound like skewed advice, but if it's for a 'first and only' car, then the Alfa makes (a lot) more sense.

If it's a 'second' car, the Alfa probably makes (a little) more sense, although you do seem to be of the perfect mad and bonkers and like it 'raw and direct' school of motoring that makes you very well prepared for M3W ownership.

If it's a third or subsequent car, the Morgan makes more sense!

But, don't ask how many are in bits on the garage floor . . .
