Set out from home in Essex for home in Somerset at 13.30, by 16.00 I've covered 150 sunny miles on busy but moving motorways. Then the sign on the M 4 says Long delays J 17-19 they weren't kidding stop start first gear when I eventually get to J19 for the M 5 everybody else except me and one other all go straight on to Wales doh why would you want to. I stop at the first services on M 5 for a comfort break and get a text " hope you're not caught in the rugby traffic" oh penny drops. So 2 1/2 hrs for 150 miles and 3 hrs for the next 100, still at least I was in a Morgan unlike everybody else stuck in their tintops
Set off for work early morning with mists hovering over the Kent fields only 15 miles but arrived with lifted spirits. I was tempted to keep on driving!

Joined a large number of Morgans at Richard Gilbert's funeral in Worcester today. A huge turn out of friends, colleagues and Morgan owners whose hearts Richard had touched.

Yesterday went to meet family in Conwy. A good old blast down the A55, no sidescreens. Came back over the Great Orme and through Llandudno and along the coast. You could easily think you were on the Italian Riviera as the sun was shining and the misty cloud was over the mountains.
The road around and over the Great Orme would make a fantastic hill climb and time trial event.
On the way there I passed a very elegantly dressed older lady driving her R7 350SL along the A55, roof down of course, and it was immaculate. We each waved as I passed and your heart just misses a beat for a moment. Driving cars like these is just so special.
