I found her Norwegian report interesting although she never mentioned how all that free electricity was produced!
Norway has the highest priced road fuels in Europe , and almost the lowest cost electricity, which is one of the prime reasons why urban Norwegians choose electric cars. I saw more Teslas in Trondheim this February than I have seen in the rest of Europe ever. Although I don't have the data to hand, a fair amount of Norway's electricity is produced from HydroElectric power stations, so overall their CO2 emissions are going to lower per kWh of electricity produced. They also have some vicious taxes on new cars - apart from electric ones that is!

Quite ironic considering Norway is a major supplier of oil. As you say, they have invested very heavily in hydro-electric schemes which I believe provide 99% of their energy. I'd certainly be buying a Tesler if I lived over there!

One interesting fact that came out in last nights programme and is very topical at the moment, is that their steel comes from Wales...not cheap Chinese imported steel.

At that level of production you certainly can see why the robots are so integral.
I frequently thought about Red Robbo during the program and the strikes at Leyland. I wonder what some of those activists would have thought of the robots.

Glad you mentioned that Jays as I missed that bit and I was going to send that question in for tonight's programme Did they give any details - did they say it was forged as well as rolled in Wales ?
