Unbolting and pulling the clutch apart, we can see that I have burned up the unit. burnt and pitted from my hot dog drive style of burnouts and power shifts frown

Now after all the pressure has been relaxed off of the clutch forks, where are they now sit in relationship to our first measurements? where the forks depressed already because of the worn clutch plate?

We now have a measurement of 3mm vs. 9.5 mm which means that the clutch forks were depressed in already by 6.5mm which I'm sure help make the Volvo clutch slave unit go bad by over extending.

Flywheel after seeing if we can clean it up.
Morgan West, a USA dealer sells only the whole unit so I will be replacing the flywheel along with clutch pack.

Next up is removing the Flywheel backing plate.
THESE ALLEN HEAD COUNTER SUNK BOLTS ARE MADE OF SOFT METAL
the Allen head can be stripped out easily!

We bolted a slide hammer hub puller with two bolts in order to pull off the back plate. The plate came out easy but you have to wiggle it off the internal shaft.
