Ongoing decommissioning costs are a bit of a downer though?
Decommissioning nuclear power stations is the ideal job for old people with insufficient pensions. Highly paid, slow and methodical work, and no need to worry about radiation triggering cancer in 20 or 30 years if you're already in your '70s

I think you might be referring to the supposed debunking of the hockey stick model by McKitrick and McIntyre in 2003? Since then, there have been numerous proxy studies analysing a variety of different sources including corals, stalagmites, tree rings, boreholes and ice cores. They all confirm the original hockey stick conclusion: the 20th century is the warmest in the last 1000 years and that warming was most dramatic after 1920.  I know that many of the AGW denialist arguments are very appealing, none of us want this to be happening, but be careful of accepting them without checking the actual evidence.

The Gulf stream will be affected, so we might get severe winters. And then the wind farms will freeze over and grind to a halt and the solar farms the same as they get covered in snow  Oh the heat of a nice nuclear power station! A Morgan Nuclear Power Station?  Wood burning?

Have to agree with Jeremy: if the population continues to increas and the increasing population becomes more "middle class" so consuming ever more the model becomes unsustainable.
I believe James Lovelock was right and the planet's ecosystem will self reguate.
So, don't worry!

It's all gone bad really in the last 200 years.
Too much car dependancy, and too much dependancy on flying - all consuming huge amounts of fossil fuel.
Workers live too far away from the workplace and this is the major problem in the UK. Congestion is getting impossible in rush hours and quite bad during the day.
There's no obvious solution to this dependancy without spending a lot of money.
