I drove down the road the other night, it was cold and raining like you couldn't believe and a bloke was standing at the bus stop wearing shorts. There was no hint of summer to make wearing shorts anything other than a deranged choice.

What also I cannot stand is seeing blokes walking down the road in any level of heat without wearing a shirt. somestick

We also got sunburnt thighs, and a lot more, returning from honeymoon in Devon. A trip that taught MrsW that convertibles mess with your hair unless you wear a hat.

Obviously she remembers the trauma as if it happened yesterday.

Shorts, OK, but please, not with socks, untless you are on the sports field or in the RN wearing tropical rig. On St Lucia last week spotted someone wearing shorts, sandals and socks - didn't need to see his passport or hear him to speak to know that he could only be English!

To my relief I conclude from this, that wearing shorts in the mog is ok. There is always a risk that water makes it into the tonneau, roof up or down does not matter too much.
Kind regards,
