S2 and S3 are very close mechanically - the main differences lie with the Aeromax front styling on the S3 as opposed to the look of the S1 on the S2; however, the S1 and S2/S3 are quite different mechanically

Thank you Simon, I've just been reading thru various posts over in the PH forum. I think I'm going to be an armchair expert soon without ever owning a Morgan :grin: Checked out the dealer's used car locator, but no s2

they do show up on Autotrader and Top Marques.
Pistonsheads doesn't seem to be the best place for Morgan info or classifieds.
