After seeing the original red one at the Motor museum last sat on the TM visit I remembered Sebring who make a beautiful copy with all new mechanicals , and they are not very expensive , has anyone looked into Sebring and the build quality , makes a refreshing change from modern sports cars.

The SX model is OK, being a modern copy of the original, but the EXALT is just grotesque.

Gerry , agreed , I saw it at the NEC classic car show , wasn't sure exactly where it was coming from and who it would appeal to , but the Healey is another thing , remember seeing one in Majorca some years back parked at a harbour next to some nice boats and had to look very closely to see it was a Sebring and not an original . Always had a hankering for one and the originals are 45k and old whereas the new copies are sense ?

I believe the EXALT was the design inspiration of the previous owners of the company. The new management appears to be discontinuing this experiment, as the EXALT demo is for sale and the price list no longer includes this model.

I love the Sebring SX, and I'm glad that a new owner has taken up the torch.

They are very well engineered cars. I spent nearly four years of evenings/ weekends building mine. I sold it to a dealer last summer, here is a link to view the car and see the build quality! This factor can vary according to whether the builder is a perfectionist or not!!!!

What design is the suspension , hopefully wishbones not cart springs or the handling will be suffering , especially with a v8 up front. Some of the cars have 5.7 litre v8's which sounds exciting along with the Healey shape which is great !
