I posted a picture of my black mohair gaiters a while ago on one of my improvement threads. There is enough Mohair left over to do a short production run. The gaiters are secured with Velcro, and are 'handed' so that the join faces aft, thereby reducing the ingress of weather. I produced a pair yesterday, and MrsW kindly sewed the (self adhesive) Velcro in place with her traditional sewing machine using black cotton. They do look rather splendid. I would be happy to receive £15 for a pair. P&P would be £1.50. Please PM me if you are interested. I may have time to make some up before Prescott/Cheltenham, (MrsW permitting). I'll post a picture tonight.

Hello Dave, Yes Please, I will definatly take a set from you. Let me know how to pay and when. Being late of the Clothing Ind. myself and a reasonable hand at the sewing machine, I had an idea at the week end to try creating gaiters but did not have any suitable fabric yet (At the time I was making a black lightweight waterproof nylon cover for our suitcase in advance of trip to Beaulieu). Do you do them for the top springs as well? I should have realised; if it was there to be invented, you would have already done it.

OK both, I'll see if I can find an hour this week, and PM you with the details. This is how they look fitted: And this is the newly sewn pair, courtesy of MrsW:

I had a look under Mog after asking about ones for the upper springs - could do with something like a Triumph Bonny Front Forks Rubber Gaiter but could not see how to get one on without a dismantle? Why dont the factory fit one - It wouldnt be a trad then would it?

Frank One step at a time eh? Uppers are possible but the kingpin is shielded, so not as vital. I'll be looking into that at some stage - eg Winter.... Won't need dismantling if Velcro'd the full length. Velcro is the new Neoprene. I've nearly sussed a Neprene supplier, but still applying checks.......

I have uppers from a motorcycle front fork, but they do make it harder to grease the king pins, as you don't see the grease coming out of the upper end.
