Is it possible to replace the stainless steel ring on the 18 inch S4 wheel. They are curbed and I would guess the ring needs to be removed and replaced.

Thanks
Andrew

Hi - I've dinged mine too and unfortunately they cannot be repaired or replaced. I have checked with both the factory and the manufacturer.

Thats ridiculous. If the rim is fitted during manufacture why can't it be replaced. Sounds to me like they prefer to sell complete wheels.

Yes I know... The rim looks simply glued on. But you can't buy them.

I assume we're talking about this wheel?

That's the one, I don't suppose you know the price for a replacement wheel?

It might be worth removing one somehow to see what we find.

Thanks

Or buy 4 Aeromax wheels?
Expensive to buy, but cheap to repair...
This link shows what I did and the DIY repair.

Not 100% perfect, but if I paid £70.00 they would come back as new.

As to the damage in your photos, a professional metal finisher can polish out that damage, but it isn't a DIY possibility.

What about alloy gators deflate the tyre and gently hammer them over the damage if you scuff these you can sand them down to a smooth finish but don't know if they would be suitable for these rims maybe worth contacting them?

Alloy gators are OK on the rear wheels but not the fronts on the Aero. The reason is the 4 wheels are all the same size but the tyres are narrower on the front wheels so the gator does not fit properly and so the seal is not worth gambling with.

Exactly: I tried them and sent them back.

I have the same wheels and same problem.

I have been told about a company in Tewkesbury that may be able to help, I will check them out and report back soon.
