I do admit though that spinners look better..

Steve , how do you remove you're spinners - mallet ?

Get a wooden two eared spanner from Melvyn, it fits over the spinner and you whack the bejesus out of the wood without damaging the spinner.

Do you know if your replacement spinners are 8 or 12 threads per inch? I might change to eared spinners myself in the new year.
Looking at the MWS website there are two types 8 and 12 tpi.
I have a narrow bodied plus 4 and not sure which I have?

Pop in to Melvyn, that's what I did. Still no idea how many threads but he will know.

I got mine from HoE. I'm not at home so can't look on the box. Presently full of cream scones in Dartmouth after a ten mile walk.
