I'm quite happy with my nuts! Using the right tools seems a lot more civilised than whacking the living daylights out of spinners.. Never did like the idea.
I do admit though that spinners look better.. Steve , how do you remove you're spinners - mallet ? Get a wooden two eared spanner from Melvyn, it fits over the spinner and you whack the bejesus out of the wood without damaging the spinner.

Spinners now on after using a long half inch socket spanner and longer pipe !
Geneva 2016 plus 8' The Green Godess' 4 side exits .

Do you know if your replacement spinners are 8 or 12 threads per inch? I might change to eared spinners myself in the new year. Looking at the MWS website there are two types 8 and 12 tpi. I have a narrow bodied plus 4 and not sure which I have?

I got mine from HoE. I'm not at home so can't look on the box. Presently full of cream scones in Dartmouth after a ten mile walk.
