Di Mora has shown a car at the LA carshow inspired by Morgan:

V8 and over 500 bhp makes it fast and I guess it handles well. Anyway, I prefer a classic Morgan. There is something with the history and the true classic design. It also shows why Morgan, in my opinion, should stick to the true classic lines. Everybody can make a car like DiMora, but only Morgan can make a Morgan.

No doubt it will another "here today - gone tomorrow" retro looking vehicle.

I wonder what holds the wheels on - is that a hub cap over a big hex nut?

They might be able to design a car to look like a Morgan but you can't design in history and a pedigree.

Dont want to be a mog snob, but if MMC ever relocated from Malvern to Las Vegas.....

Who knows - maybe this is Charles in his new job.

Video from their website. Says its $1.2 million dollars - so it will remain overpriced, over sexed and over there.

I'm not sure that they used Morgan as an inspiration....there's a mix of thirties cars in the design.

Hmmmm....gold leaf hubcaps. I wonder....I was thinking what else to do to Nero in the coming year!

An acquired taste and not one that I share but it is different and could go well in the States.

Unless someone has said that it was inspired by the Morgan I am not sure that you can say it was. To me it looks more related to something like a Delage, or at least something from the best French coachbuilders of the 30s, or at least pre-war period. It is not particularly to my taste either but it has a certain beauty.

Look at this, a 1937 Delage D8-120 S Pourtout Aero Coupe 1, as an example of what I mean:

Looks like a copy of a Panther Lima, but enlarged to fit America.

.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.
