Allegedly:
It has been suggested it comes from the game of skittles or ninepins, but The Phrase Finder has found the first reference in a book of English proverbs from 1659: “as fine as fippence, as neat as nine pence.”
The connection was money rather than skittles, and there was a nine pence coin in circulation during that period. Neat as ninepence later became nice as ninepence and right as ninepence.

. Speak soon David David , I am waiting to get the 5L link suspension for my plus 4 and will be having the front suplex fitted too , its just wondering when the 5L will actually arrive or even be available ?

Hi Madmax,
I presume that you know I don't work for Suplex I am in the happy position that I am asked to test products like the RS kit which I fitted to my Supersport and lately the 5link on the 3.7 Roadster.
With the 5 link one of the reasons I was asked to be involved was that all the engineering work for the kit is being manufactured no more than 5 miles away from where I live so it was easy to use my car to develop the prototype.Actually I was speaking to the MD last week and he said that they were busy manufacturing the metal work for delivery any time now.
What I would recommend is to give Dab White a ring at Suplex I am sure he would be only too pleased to put you in the picture on delivery.His number is 01909 770660.
I am sure you will be pleased with the transformation of your Morgan,please let me know how you get on.
