This is such a great thread, from pretty much every post there are albums which are in my favourites list.

I might nominate 'Songs from a Room' instead of 'I'm your man' and 'The Magazine' instead of Rickie Lee Jones' first album, but this is a great list, especially Hissing of Summer Lawns.

Looking at my 'most played' list on iTunes, I am reminded that more or less any J.J Cale album is also worth a listen.

As an aside Vinyl is far superior in sound quality to CD's especially when you combine it with valve amplifiers, the difference is astonishing. I have built my own amps over a number of years and can highly recommend the result.

Peter.

Slight nit pick Peter - Che Guevara is Argentian not Cuban Isn't he?

Another cracker and strangely enough I think the album was made just after Godley and Creme left the band

Yet another great group, I also have all their LP's, I really think I missed the boat here, I should have made it a Top 10 at least, perhaps even a Top 20.
A small point for those that didn't "get" Dark side of the Moon, it stayed on the American Billboard Top 200 LP's for, wait for it,
14 YEARS !!!
No wonder Nick Mason has so many cars and all he did was bash the drums !!! Apologies to any drummers out there. sherlock

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Thanks, and of course there's Mannfred Manns Earth Band, 2 great albums The Good Earth and roaring Silence, and the brilliant Wishbone Ash - Argus, and Split by the Groundhogs

Also nobodies mentioned King Crimson
