I'm sure its just the buyers remorse thing kicking in, second guessing myself is all. Luckily my wife is now in the "just buy the damn thing" stage. With all my buying obstacles so far (not clear yet) the emotional thing has varied too. It's all about expectations (buddhism 101). I'm totally psyched but prepared to lose out.

True, the MX-5, which would then be the SECOND most impractical car in the world, would probably go after one summer with the Morgan. MX5 impractical? I drove one year round for three years. They're great! Throw some Blizzaks on her and rock the snow! Lol. For 3 years it was my only car, I only missed 2 days due to snow (my commute is 30 miles, each way. I had X-ice snow tires on separate wheels before going to the all-seasons that are on it now. Great fun, rain or shine, and also weatherproof in 8 seconds. It even saved my life one in a nasty crash. It really is only impractical if you are going to best buy for a tv!

I definitely was hooked, but then now I look at the snow,...
Surely the snow is no surprise, ... 1. Mount front wheels on stub skis. 2. Replace rear wheel with aggressive winter tyre Result: something to make the snowmobile guys envious! PS: don't go into soft snow though!

I have had a 2010 MX5 PRHT since new as a Daily Driver and sole car, I can tell you that is is hardly impractical. It depends what you are trying to get out of your car.
It has a fairly spacious trunk and decent amount of room for a passenger plus extras. Is it a people hauler, nah, but it is certainly far from impractical. Would argue that it is probably the least impractical 2 seater on the market.

Huh?
The M3W is all about desire and lust, it's not at all even remotely practical, it's an adult toy. It's purpose is entertainment. A Miata is still a car, even if you make the choice to limit your experience of it as seasonal or otherwise limit it's use b/c of your choice to have it 'Special'. The "Specialness" is your own creation, a Miata really is just a car, and one produced by Mazda.
"Buyers remorse" doesn't really qualify here. Especially for folks who have multiple adult toys in the garage (I have 4). If you have the disposable income..the cash..to buy one without it affecting your life, both present and future, the struggle is largely within yourself about self gratification and entitlement..do you deserve another toy? Or is something else interfering with that....?
It's inconceivable to me that a dealer wouldn't be responsive to a potential customer's inquiry, it's not like they have potentials flocking into the store to do business with them. I think your dealer is an idiot, frankly, for not only failing to seize the opportunity to make money, but also to realize that he's selling pure, unadulterated desire and to play to that: Being gracious (mine didn't even offer me a seat!), acknowledging your enthusiasm, and being prompt and courteous in your requests for additional information...the art of knowing how to indulge. In the absence of responsiveness and acknowledgement of your (exposed) pure emotional desire, there's a natural tendency to pull back. But is that the result of a change of feelings about either your own desire or the actual driving experience, or rather the disappointment in some other factor not related to the 3 itself?
If you like the car and have the money for it, buy it. The other needs get met elsewhere.

Draggin you simply can't compare the M3W to the Miata. The Miata IS a nice car but I think it compares more to a Honda? I bought my 2012 without ever having driven a M3W. Granted I had a lot of problems to sort out that you should not have in the newer version. I see by your list of motorcycles you have some fun stuff, however, I'll go out on a limb and say you get your M3W---You ain't seen nothin yet. Get it and "be happy".

ItsJustMe, all good, valid points, my visit to the dealer was 2 weeks ago now, I sent them a reminder that I wanted a quote last Wednesday... Yes maybe I do want to be catered to more, and maybe I am using the waiting time to let my rational brain talk me out of it. And maybe when making a purchase 2nd in scope only to my house I want something closer to the level of customer service that I am compelled to give to my own customers 24/7/365. I do not get to be on the receiving end of the customer service experience all that often, maybe I'm just a bad, demanding customer. Maybe my patience will be overwhelmingly rewarded.

My dealer, Morgan Midatlantic, in Lewisberry, PA, owns a Brooklands edition for demo purposes. If you called them you'd be able to test drive that day or the next day. They were very happy to take my deposit five minutes after we returned from the drive. They gave me the tentative price ( based on exchange rate) and wrote/submitted the order the same day. My cost just dropped about $1,500 the other day when I wrote the balance because the rate dropped! Call up Lori or Dennis right now and place an order. 😊
